The Iconic: Rates

The Iconic Rooming House at 55 Maud Street Geelong is a unique and inspiring Gothic style building that was once part the original Geelong Grammar School, dating back to 1858. This building is of high architectural significance for the city of Geelong and the State of Victoria. In 2014 to 2015 the building fell into a state of disrepair and was closed down in 2016.  Private investors who visualised beyond the buildings condition decided to acquire the building and transform it to Short and Long-term accommodation where indirectly the building would continue in its own way to provide a path to further education.

The renovation included repairs to the building with permission from Heritage Victoria and includes special permits. The building underwent complete re-wiring and plumbing with new washrooms, kitchens and laundry facilities, as well as modern communication and access controls with complete 24/7 security and CCTV for added security and comfort for its tenants.

The Iconic now offers beds for 36 students in 28 premium rooms, comprising 20 single bedrooms and 8 twin share rooms.  The rooms come furnished and inclusive of power, heating & cooling and internet with multiple common areas for meeting with colleagues and friends.  We also provide activities such as community BBQs, movie nights, pool table, table tennis and board games.

Rates

The Iconic Geelong offers 6 and 12 month leases. 

For international students we advise that the Australian Government estimates living costs excluding tuition fees can be as much as AUD $24,000 per annum. We recommend that international students refer to the Australia Government Website.
